Ex-IAF officer's departure is the first from the founding team since the carrier's 2022 launch.
One of the nine co-founders of Akasa Air has left the privately-owned airline, marking the first high-profile departure at the carrier, which began flying in 2022.
The airline announced on Thursday the resignation of its senior vice president of International Operations, Neelu Khatri, as per an official company statement. The company, in a statement, said Khatri decided to pursue a new professional direction.
Akasa Air has not yet announced a replacement for her. The move marks the first high-profile departure from the founding team of India's youngest major carrier, launched in 2022.
