PNB alerts RBI about ₹2,434 cr Srei fraud

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has reported a borrowal fraud of about ₹2,434 crore to the Reserve Bank of India, linked to former promoters of Srei Equipment Finance and Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd, the state-owned lender said in an exchange filing on Friday.
The fraud relates to loan accounts of the two SREI entities, which have since been resolved under the corporate insolvency process.
