New Delhi-headquartered Jay Ushin is the flagship auto parts manufacturing business of the JP Minda Group, while Haryana-based De Diamond Electric is a subsidiary of Japan's Diamond Electric Mfg. Co. Ltd. The four companies did not respond to queries.
External affairs ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed China's licensing decision at a media briefing, without providing details.
The decision comes as a major relief for Indian automakers and electronics manufacturers.
