EPFO Eases Claims Process by Scrapping Two Rules

The Centre on Thursday announced two reforms to ease the claim settlements process for employees' provident fund (EPF).

Earlier, members had to furnish a chequebook or a bank passbook to apply for claims. Now, you don't have to do that anymore. Besides, you also no longer require the employer's approval to link bank account with your Universal Account Number (UAN).
