SIT discovers used foreign-made cartridges, multiple pistol bores

LUCKNOW: The investigation into the violence that erupted during the Jama Masjid survey in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district has confirmed the use of foreign-made cartridges and pistols of three different calibres.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) discovered spent cartridges and bullets manufactured in Pakistan and the United States from the scene of the clash, raising serious concerns about illegal arms supply.

According to officials, the use of foreign-made ammunition during the violence has been established. Investigators also determined that three different bore pistols were fired during the unrest. However, the culprits and the weapons remain untraced.
