CONNECTED TO THE ELECTRICAL GRID FOR FIRST TIME
-
After more than seven decades of waiting, a remote village in Chhattisgarh's Maoist-affected region has finally been connected to the electrical grid, marking a significant turning point for the community that has long suffered under Left-Wing Extremism (LWE).
Timenar, located in Bijapur district's Bhairamgarh development block, saw all 53 households receive electricity for the first time since India's independence under the Chief Minister's Manjra-Tola Electrification Scheme.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the electrification of Timenar signaled the beginning of a new era of governance and growth in the remote regions of Bastar.
