Congress govt increased sugarcane rates by 165% while BJP has increased it by only 24%

Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that BJP has once again played a joke with sugarcane farmers, and the government has rubbed salt on farmers' wounds by marginally increasing sugarcane rates by Rs 14.

He said that in view of the increasing cost of farming, the rate should be more than Rs 450 per quintal today. But despite being in power for 10 years, BJP has raised the rate to just Rs 386.
