The renewable energy arm of Vena Group has secured dollar-denominated project funding for the 300-megawatt peak (MWp) solar facility in Ilocos Norte, signaling an increase in the province's renewable energy (RE) integration.

Vena Energy said in a statement that it closed a $210 million green loan facility for its Opus solar project. The funding was provided by seven international institutions: Singapore-based BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, MUFG Bank Ltd., and Standard Chartered Bank; Hong Kong-based DBS Bank Ltd. and Intesa Sanpaolo S.P.A.; and Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
