SIGHT SAVING DAY 2025: A clearer vision for every Filipino

On August 16, the nation comes together to observe Sight Saving Day, a powerful reminder of the importance of eye health and our shared responsibility to prevent avoidable blindness.

This annual observance is the centerpiece of Sight Saving Month, a nationwide campaign spearheaded by the Department of Health (DOH) in collaboration with medical and civic organizations.

With over 500,000 Filipinos living with blindness or visual impairment, the need for proactive eye care has never been more pressing. Sight Saving Day is a wake-up call to:
