The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, September 13, said it is closely monitoring a Low Pressure Area (LPA) within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) that may bring heavy rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas this weekend.
As of 8 a.m., the weather bureau said the LPA has a “low” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours. At 3 a.m., the system was estimated to be 140 km east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.
PAGASA also noted that easterlies are affecting Luzon.
