PSE raises 2025 capital- raising goal to P170 billion

As the local stock market is on an uptrend amid firmer investor sentiment, the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) has upgraded its capital-raising target for 2025 to about P170 billion from the previous P120-billion goal—and double the amount raised last year—even without the much-anticipated GCash initial public offering (IPO).

“We expect this year to be a very, very high capital-raising year. A very successful year for the PSE,” said PSE President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ramon S. Monzon in his briefing on the bourse’s operation during PSE Star: Investor Day 2025.

He noted that capital raising includes not just IPOs but also follow-on offerings, stock rights offerings, and private placements.
