Netizen tagged for using PNP chief in spreading fake news vs PBBM

The Philippine National Police (PNP) will be summoning a social media user from Mindanao who allegedly tried to sow disinformation by making it appear that the acting national police chief was urging soldiers and policemen to disobey President Marcos.

PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño said the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) is now preparing a subpoena to be issued to the female social media user for her to explain her side.

The social media user, who appeared to be a critic of President Marcos, already took down her post on Facebook, but the PNP said she will still not spared from the conduct of any investigation for violation of the law.
