July 28 2025

President Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte issued separate statements on Sunday, July 27, to mark the 111th anniversary of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC).

- BY BETHEENA UNITE and RAYMUND ANTONIO

Commending the "admirable deeds" of the INC in society, President Marcos expressed hopes that they continue to be a partner of the government in nation-building.

"Ang kanilang mga magagandang gawain ay lubos na nagdulot ng malawakang pagbabago at namunga ng pagkakaintindihan, pagdadamayan, at pagkakaisa (Their admirable deeds have brought about widespread change and have borne the fruits of understanding, and unity)," Marcos said in his message.

"Ngayong ipinagdiriwang natin ang inyong ika-111 Anibersaryo, nawa'y manatili kayong katuwang ng ating pamahalaan sa pagpapanday ng isang matatag at maayos na lipunan (As we celebrate your 111th Anniversary, may you continue to be a partner of our government in building a strong and orderly society)," Marcos added.

The President, in his message, also encouraged the INC to continue spreading the word of the Almighty and share His love and care with everyone, especially those most in need.
