LTO summons owners of 19 motorcycles in illegal racing

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has summoned the owners of the 19 motorcycles that were impounded by the police following an operation in Bulacan over reports of illegal racing and exhibition along a bypass road in San Rafael town.
The motorcycles were confiscated following the arrest of 12 people during the operation on Aug. 17. Twelve minors, including a seven-year-old boy, were held in the operation.
LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor D. Mendoza II said the registered owners of the motorcycles were summoned through show-cause orders (SCOs), the first step to the investigation that may also include the revocation of driver’s license of those involved.
