"A lot of prayers, of course. And we're honored that Direk Lav agreed to be part of this project," said Lovi when asked how she convinced the popular director to act again, during a recent story conference in Makati City.

Lav, 66, appreciated the script and wanted to explore every aspect of the filmmaking process.

"Acting is something na gusto ko talagang pasukin. (Acting is something that I want to pursue). I like the script, so I agreed to be part of the film," said Lav, who mentioned that he was also part of the production's utility team when he entered showbiz in his younger days.

Prime Cruz will direct the movie, and he admitted to being starstruck by Lav's presence.

While directing Lav, Prime stated, 'We will do our best. I'm starstruck.'

He added that Lav would play a crucial role in the film.

Lovi said: "Just the thought of doing my scenes with him (Lav) is kabado. Sabi ko nga kay Direk (Prime), kaya mo? I'm sure kaya ni Direk (Prime) yan."

Prime said that "The Sacrifice" follows the story of five vloggers who enter a forest searching for something. They will uncover an ancient secret. "In this film, we will incorporate Filipino folklore."

Lovi, also the producer of the thriller, stated that being a vlogger for a movie character is a new experience for her.

"Bago ito for me. I haven't been a vlogger who explores a country so marami kaming aspects na ipapakita rito. We're excited to show every character," she said.
