Enrique Gil returns to TV on his own terms

For Enrique Gil, the past few years were less about chasing the spotlight and more about stepping away from it.

The pandemic played a big part in that. It slowed everything down and gave him something he didn't expect, time with family, and a much-needed reset.

“Siguro burn out na rin in a way,” he shares. “Na-realize ko na all those years, I missed out on my family... na-enjoy ko yung sila naman ang kasama ko and I'm not worrying about work. So, I feel like blessing in disguise yung nangyari.”

Used to a fast-paced life of TV and film projects, the long break felt strange at first. At one point, he even thought about leaving showbiz for good.

“Too much fun not doing any showbiz-related activities,” he says of that period.

But stepping away did not end his creativity. It actually brought it back stronger.
