Cho Yi-hyun, Choo Young-woo reunite in 'Head Over Heels'

"Head Over Heels," a new Korean fantasy romance series, debuted on Prime Video in the Philippines and more than 240 countries and territories on June 23.

Cho Yi-hyun is known for the zombie series “All of Us Are Dead” and the medical drama “Hospital Playlist.”

Choo Young-woo, on the other hand, bagged the best new actor award at the 2025 Baeksang Arts Award for his role in “Tale of Lady Ok.” He also appeared in the series “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.”

Cho Yi-hyun plays the role of Seong-A, a student by day and a shaman by night, who encounters Gyeon-U (Choo Young-woo), who suffers from an unlucky fate. With her abilities, she sees Gyeon-U walking upside down, meaning his days are numbered. Falling head over heels for Gyeon-U, she vows to save his life.

“Head Over Heels” is directed by Kim Yong-wan and written by Yang Ji-hoon.

In an interview with Manila Bulletin and other Asian media outlets, Cho Yi-hyun and Choo Young-woo talked about their reunion, chemistry, and what “Head Over Heels” is all about.

“Head Over Heels” is a reunion between the two. They starred together in the teen romance series “School 2021.”

Choo Young-woo said Cho Yi-hyun’s appearance hasn’t changed, while she said he has a better build now compared to before.

“First off, when we reunited this time around, I was so blown away by how, appearance-wise, she hadn't changed a bit. It was really amazing. And internally, she had grown so much as an actor. It was so nice to go into production knowing each other, because I know her style of acting. I know what she likes and doesn't like, so I think it was much easier for us to get the hang of it,” said Choo Young-woo.

In response, Cho Yi-hyun said, “As for Young-woo here, when I met him after several years, I was amazed by how he had matured, both internally and externally.”
