Sixty-eight personnel of the Land Transportation Office's (LTO) Law Enforcement Service were dismissed from their posts as part of the agency's intensified campaign against corruption, it was revealed on Friday, Sept. 26.

- By MARTIN SADONGDONG

LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor D. Mendoza II said he terminated the contract of the enforcers assigned at the agency's Central Office in Quezon City following performance evaluations and complaints lodged by motorists and netizens.

"This is also as part of our efforts to weed out corruption and to professionalize LTO's enforcement team," he said.

Mendoza earlier ordered the consolidation of all the performance evaluation and complaints and concerns that the agency received from social media and other platforms in relation to the allegations of wrongdoings, especially bribery and extortion.
