Manila Bulletin

January 26, 2026

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro - Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor identified two more allegedly anomalous flood control projects worth P422-million as the possible main causes of the perennial flooding in the towns of Victoria and Naujan.

- By JERRY ALCAYDE

Dolor said these are located in Barangay San Andres, Naujan and allegedly did not follow the project's specifications and plans. The project's contractor also used substandard materials such as undersized sheet piles.

Dolor conducted an inspection in Sitios 3 and 4, Barangay San Andres and discovered an unfinished road dike and esplanade on MagAsawang Tubig River.
