THOUSANDS of pounds have been raised in memory of 'well-loved' Amber O'Brien after a man was charged with her murder.

Amber, 33, was tragically found dead at the Somerton Court tower block on Broadmoss Drive, in Blackley, on Sunday.

Tributes have poured in for the painter and decorator from her loved ones this week.

Close family friend Chelby McKay has launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to support Amber's family, with more than £2,500 raised by Friday evening.

Chelby says Amber was 'just a great girl'.

In a moving tribute to her pal of 29 years, she told the Manchester Evening News: “She had a laugh that was infectious.
