SHOCK OVER TERRORIST BUT ONE PERSON 'NOTICED A CHANGE IN HIM'

The house in Prestwich cordoned off by police
NEIGHBOURS of the Manchester synagogue attacker Jihad Al-Shamie say they have been left in a state of shock that he was 'living under our noses.
Al-Shamie, 35, was shot dead by armed officers after launching a car and knife attack outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue in Crumpsall on Thursday morning, which left two innocent members of the Jewish community dead.
Three other people were also seriously injured. Counter Terror police have said Al-Shamie was a British citizen who was of Syrian descent.
According to records, he was never referred to the anti-terror programme Prevent, police have said.
He is understood to have lived with family members on Langley Crescent, a tiny pedestrianised cul-de-sac off Langley Hall Road in Prestwich, around two miles from the synagogue.
Dozens of armed officers were seen swooping on the address on Thursday afternoon. Police have not confirmed where he lived and said the activity was linked to arrests made following the attack.
No neighbours have reported witnessing anyone being detained there on Thursday.
Langley Crescent remains taped off, with officers standing guard both at the cordon and outside the house.
Specialist Tactical Aid Unit (TAU) officers have been seen carrying out searches in the garden.
