RABBI URGES JEWISH COMMUNITY TO 'SHOW STRENGTH' AT VIGIL

THE RABBI of Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation told a vigil 'the skies are weeping and right they may' as he delivered a powerful speech in the wake of the devastating terror attack on his synagogue.

Rabbi Daniel Walker urged Jewish communities to continue praying and 'showing strength' after a terrorist attack in Crumpsall left two people dead on Thursday morning.

The attack took place on Yom Kippur, Judaism's holiest day.

Politicians and community leaders, including deputy prime minister David Lammy and Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham, gathered on Middleton Road, close to the scene of the attack, for a vigil.

Rabbi Walker began his speech by thanking 'those special and heroic men who stopped that terrorist getting into my shul and stopped much worse things happening.
