Community grieves after baby's remains are found

MOVING tributes have been left at the scene where a baby’s remains were discovered.

Members of the local community in Little Hulton, Salford, who have been left ‘devastated’ and ‘heartbroken’ by the news of the death of a baby, arrived throughout yesterday to lay down flowers in memory of the little one, beside the police tape.

The community has been rocked by the tragic discovery of the baby’s remains in Ashtons Field on Wednesday afternoon. Police were called out to the scene by a dog walker at 12.30pm and have remained in the area ever since.

A cordon remained in place throughout Thursday with forensics investigators continuing to gather evidence from the scene, as mystery still surrounds the identity of ‘Baby A’.
