Beautician thought loss of eyesight was because of loose contact lens
A BEAUTICIAN who thought she had a contact lens stuck in her eye was rushed to hospital to be treated for a stroke.
When Rebecca-Louise Seddon felt a sudden tingly sensation down the left side of her body, she assumed she had a trapped nerve.
She decided to visit her GP and a doctor prescribed her some painkillers.
However, Rebecca-Louise woke up half-blind a few weeks later. Believing a contact lens was stuck in her right eye, she booked an urgent eye test.
Opticians knew something was seriously wrong and sent Rebecca-Louise, who lives in the Milnrow area of Rochdale, straight to A&E.
