Parents endured difficult journey to discover son's condition
A MUM has opened up about her son's heartbreaking battle with a rare genetic condition.
Harley Jackson was just one year old when he was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1 in January 2024 after a long and difficult journey to get a proper diagnosis. His parents, Ellie and Josh, had been struggling to understand why their baby boy was so unwell.
It all started shortly after Harley was born when the pair noticed he was having trouble feeding, wasn't sucking on his bottle properly and had excessive reflux.
