Youngster steps up to raise cash for Rainbows

COME rain or shine, young Evan Blowfield stuck to his task to ensure a cash windfall for Rainbows hospice last month.

The eight-year-old, from Ratby, walked 31 miles to raise £725 for the Loughborough charity, the East Midlands’ only hospice for babies, children and young people.

Evan set himself the challenge of walking a mile every day throughout October, facing all sorts of weathers, including Storm Amy, and doubling his fundraising target.
