Crowds turn out to mark Armed Forces Day in town

VISITORS to Loughborough helped mark Armed Forces Day on Saturday.

Charnwood Borough Council organised this year's Armed Forces Day event at Queen’s Park in Loughborough to celebrate the Armed Forces community and highlight its ongoing commitment to recognising the sacrifices and contributions that they make.
The event, which took place from 11am until 3pm, welcomed families, veterans, cadets, and current serving personnel to a free day filled with gratitude, entertainment and tributes.
Attendees explored impressive military vehicles, met serving service members and veterans ready to share stories, and enjoyed a diverse array of stalls from local charities, veteran organisations and cadet groups.
A lively stage programme highlighted live music, cadet parades and military displays.
