BlackFest returns to celebrate black artists

AN award-winning festival which hundreds of people attend each year has confirmed its return to Liverpool.

BlackFest will once again take over the city in September, for its seventh year.
The annual combined arts festival features music, theatre, film, and spoken word events by black artists in community spaces and venues.
It was founded in 2018 by Jubeda Khatun, who said: "Hundreds of incredible artists have performed at BlackFest during the past seven years.
