TRANMERE Rovers interim manager Andy Crosby said his side must focus on the positives following a goalless draw away to Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

We didn't do enough, admits boss Crosby

Rovers edged possession in a competitive affair on the north west coast and had chances to snatch all three points, most notably through Josh Hawkes and second half substitute Kieron Morris, who both had efforts saved by Cods goalkeeper Jay Lynch.

Crosby said that while there is room for improvement, his players are moving in the right direction, having tightened up defensively.

He said: "We've just spoken about the negatives with our performance and when you're emotional, post-game, it’s important that you still have that honest conversation.

"The players knew exactly where we could've been better, to enable us to go and win that game, but I think it’s really important that I focus on this being the first time that we've kept back-to-back clean sheets away from home for two-and-a-half years.

"Our desire to run, fight and scrap is a credit to all of the players, so we'll take the point and we've got four points from two tough away games."
