Muscle issue forces Endo out of Japan squad

WATARU ENDO has handed Liverpool an injury scare by withdrawing from the Japan squad for their upcoming internationals.

Endo had been called up to skipper his country for their friendlies against Paraguay on Friday and Brazil the following Tuesday.

However, the Japan Football Association confirmed on Monday the midfielder would play no part in the two games while citing an injury issue.
