My bus lane to Damascus moment

I'M a "utility cyclist". I use a bike as my main mode of transport.

As a result, I spend a fair bit of time fixating on bike lanes and thinking about how much better Liverpool would be if there were lots more of them.

If significantly more people are to cycle on a regular basis they need to feel safe when they are riding their bikes.

I am, however, a realist. I appreciate that bike lanes aren't always the solution to all the world's problems.
