THE Home Secretary visited Liverpool yesterday afternoon to praise the first responders for their work during the incident on Water Street in the city centre yesterday.
Yvette Cooper visited the cordon which remains at the scene where a car was driven at crowds of people shortly after the Liverpool FC title parade.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Merseyside Police confirmed 50 people were treated in hospital, with 11 of those receiving ongoing treatment. All those still in hospital are described as being in a stable condition and police said they appear to be recovering well.
