PLANS to build padel courts in north Merseyside have taken a step forward.

a proposed padel court in Sefton
A planning application to transform an area of Victoria Park in Southport has been submitted to Sefton Council, with the company behind the plans hoping to have the courts open in spring next year.
Sefton Padel is looking to bring five padel courts to the town as well as three refurbished tennis courts. Alongside the courts, there will also be a coffee kiosk and seating area for players.
