- By ELLIOT JESSETT

Zoe’s Place has announced a major update after reaching a crucial agreement over its new home.It comes just a few months after families, staff and charity trustees all came together to break ground on the West Derby site.

In 2024, the much-loved baby hospice was hit with the bombshell news its doors could be shut for good. Zoe's Place needed to raise £5m in 30 days, but a huge effort ensued with more than 60,000 organisations and individuals raising approximately £7.4m.

As a result of the generosity and kindness of countless people, the hospice was able to move forward as an independent organisation, now known as Little Lights, safeguarding the future of a charity which provides vital care for very poorly babies, children and their families.

Little Lights’ new home will be at the former site of West Derby bowling club on Hayman’s Green, and will include a purpose-built hospice with some of the most advanced facilities and technology available, ensuring every child and family receives the very best care and comfort.
