Carra's pride as Mia takes to stage for starring role

LIVERPOOL FC legend Jamie Carragher admitted he's "a little bit nervous" ahead of his daughter's debut in a huge new show.

Jamie's daughter, actress Mia Carragher, will star as Katniss Everdeen in the premiere of the first-ever theatre adaptation of Suzanne Collins' internationally acclaimed book and Lionsgate's motion picture, The Hunger Games: On Stage.

The show, described as the “theatrical event of the year”, will run at a newly created state-of-the-art venue, Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, in London. American actor John Malkovich will also star as President Snow on screen.

Preview performances of The Hunger Games: On Stage began this week, and Jamie Carragher spoke to the ECHO about his and wife Nicola's pride, and how he's feeling as his daughter takes on the role.
