Woman kicked officers as they tried to get her to stop hugging man

A WOMAN struck two police officers while kicking out after they tried to get her to move away from a man she was clinging on to.

Two female Leicestershire Police officers had arrived at the Bell Foundry pub, in Swan Street, Loughborough, to speak to a man about an incident.

They found him in the beer garden, but as they tried to speak to him, Naomi Mumby, 29, clung to him and refused to let go.

When they tried to force her to move, she lashed out and attacked the officers.

Mumby kicked one in the chest before falling to the ground with her, where the officer cut her arm on broken glass.

They attached “fast straps” to her legs to stop her kicking them.
