Victim punched in the face as he sat in his car

A MOTORIST was repeatedly punched in the face by a man in a row over a woman.

The incident happened at a petrol station in Beaumont Leys, Leicester, in April.

Garon Gomes had walked to the petrol station on the corner of Beaumont Leys Lane and Parker Drive with a friend to buy cigarettes.

He spotted the victim, whom, he claims, had threatened him earlier this year over his friendship with the man’s girlfriend.

CCTV footage from the petrol station, shown at Leicester Magistrates’ Court, showed Gomes approach the man’s car while he was in the driver's seat with the window wound down.
