LEICESTER Riders have released Duke Shelton and Mike Mitchell Jr following talks between the club and players.
-
The club extended its thanks to both players for their hard work and commitment during their time in Leicester.
Shelton, part of the Riders squad for the last two seasons, was in the SLB Playoff Final-winning side at the 02 in May.
The club said in a statement on its website it recognises his contribution and wishes him the very best in the next chapter of his career.
Shelton told the website: “I'd like to take the time to say thank you to the Leicester Riders, the fans and anyone who has ever supported me and the club.
“My time there was nothing less than great - and I even got my first playoff win, which was just legendary!
“I'm wishing the Riders the best of luck and success.
