MP's plea for Scouts to remain at library

AN MP is calling on a council to show some “seasonal goodwill” and allow a Scouts group stay in their base until a new permanent home is found.

Harborough MP Neil O'Brien is urging Leicestershire County Council, which owns the former Kibworth Library building, to give the village's popular Kibworth Scout Group a secure future as they face being forced out of their current home.

The Scouts - one of the busiest youth groups in the area - have outgrown their longstanding hut on Fleckney Road.
