Labour calls for allocation of site for 4G sport pitch

LABOUR councillors are calling for the installation of a 4G sports pitch in a town.

The North West Leicestershire Labour group said if it led the district authority, a council-owned site south of Nottingham Road close to the A42 junction, would be selected as the priority location.
Councillor Peter Moult, Labour lead for communities, said:
“Following the growth in Ashby during recent years, the demand for sports facilities has grown significantly.
“We believe Ashby deserves good sports facilities that are accessible to everyone.
