NEW JUST EAT COMMUNITY HONOUR FOR DESSERT SHOP
A LEICESTER restaurant has won the first-ever Just Eat Community Award.
The Little Dessert Shop's efforts beyond serving treats has seen it honoured - and win a £10,000 prize.
The dessert parlour, in Belgrave Gate, has become the first winner of the award, which recognises restaurants making a real difference beyond the kitchen.
It was introduced as part of this year's Just Eat Restaurants Awards and has seen the Leicester team widely praised for their work in the community.
The Little Dessert Shop was among 450 “inspiring entries” for the award, which were whittled down by a public vote, making the Leicester win all the more special.
