THAILAND NIGHTMARE FOR 24-YEAR-OLD WHO SUFFERED BROKEN LEG AFTER BAR FALL
A LEICESTER man is stuck in Thailand after suffering a freak injury - and then finding his travel insurance policy's smallprint did not cover him for a medical bill running into thousands.
Jack Wood, of Aylestone, suffered a broken tibia and fibula in his left leg when a friend fell on it.
The pair were in a bar in Thailand during Jack's yearlong stay in the country.
The 24-year-old had fallen over when his friend went to help him.
Jack said: "We were a bit tipsy and, as he picked me up, he lost his footing and fell on my leg. It was a really loud snap and felt terrible."
