Volunteers are gearing up for Poppy Appeal ’25

This year’s campaign will distribute poppy boxes to locals shops and schools

Poppy badge to mark the anniversary of the ending of the War in Europe

FOLLOWING a busy year so far, with the VE Day commemoration and the recent centenary of the Nicholson Memorial, the Leek Poppy Appeal volunteers are gearing up forthe annual campaign which runs between between 27th October and 11th November.

The planning has been helped greatly by the owners of the Leek Smithfied Centre who have allowed the use of a shop unit to store, pack and distribute the traditional Poppy Boxes, to over 150 local shops, offices and schools.
