SURREY Police has appealed for donations of tennis balls for its police dog puppies in training.

From the detection of dangerous and illegal substances to apprehending suspects, police dogs have a long list of responsibilities. They undergo specialist training with a range of skills developed over time. Most police dogs enter the force from 12 months, with regular assessments.
