Wreath-making with moss from the garden
Lancashire Evening Post
|December 13, 2025
Persistent rain has limited outdoor gardening of late, so several planned jobs have been on hold.
However, it has freed up time to forge ahead with Yuletide preparations under cover - the next two weeks have a habit of flying by!
We've always made a few Christmas wreaths incorporating parts of favourite hardy plants.
The process makes it more personal than buying a ready-made item, attractive though it might be.
An alternative for those without a range of suitable natural material could be to buy a basic wreath and add your own touch.
Some of the materials required for the job can be bought at your local florists or the garden centre.
We need a round wreath base, a ball of string and florist's wire to attach the plant materials.
