'We are creating a city where every young person can succeed'

Those at Preston City Council who have been involved in commissioning the Youth Strategy said having young people involved from the start means more robust plans for the future.

Cabinet member for health and wellbeing councillor, Zafar Coupland said: "Our young people are the future of Preston, and this strategy ensures they have the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. By working together with local services and listening to young voices, we are creating a city where every young person can succeed.

"Our next step is to launch the strategy to young people and young professionals in the city, talk about how the strategy is already being adopted throughout the city, celebrating youth participation and raising awareness on how more young people can get involved in shaping the future of their city."
