How do you make a music megastar? There are some singers for whom it seems every record they touch turns to gold, then platinum, then diamond.
Taylor Swift is undeniably one of these icons - almost everybody in the world knows at least something about her. But how did she get here? Taylor, a two part documentary on Channel 4, tries to find this out.
Taylor begins at the peak of Swift's career so far with a clip of the Eras Tour, the worldwide concert series which is the highest grossing tour of all time.
Now, as Swift has just released a new pop album titled The Life of a Showgirl, the documentary's suggestion of where Swift's career peaks is already behind the times.
That's the trouble with Taylor: Swift's never-ending ambition means that a documentary about her life is already out of date from the moment it airs.
Yet the Eras Tour is the perfect moment to begin as it showcases just how successful Taylor Swift is. She's the star that can sing to sold out stadiums night after night after night. For 152 dates, the whole crowd knew every word.
