Businesses get to the soggy bottom of mystery 'leaks'

A Preston city centre side street has been constantly damp for the past week - and it's not because of the recent rain.

Towards the end of May, businesses along Guildhall Street were baffled as despite Preston's balmy temperatures and clear skies the tattoo parlour and bars always had a wet pavement in front of them.

Pauly Paul, studio manager of the True Colours Tattoo Studio, said it was due to water pooling inside the former Emmaus charity store in Fishergate.

The charity moved out of the building into their new home in the Fishergate Shopping Centre and it has since been targeted by thieves.
