Any club in the Northern League would miss a player of Kurtis Watson's calibre, says Leyland coach Dave Makinson.

The all-rounder’s absence at Fox Lane over the first couple of weeks this season has been notable after he decided to end his long association with the club during the winter.
A player who rose up through the junior ranks, Watson made his first-team debut at 16 and has served the club for nearly a decade and a half.
