New 7-day no appointment facility poised to open in Ayrshire
A walk-in GP centre is set to open in East Ayrshire under ambitious plans, it has been announced.
While there is no date or location for the opening of the no-appointment hub, the move is being hailed by Kilmarnock's MSP as a huge step towards improving the NHS.
The new GP-led service plans to operate seven days a week from 12 noon to 8pm and will be based on the high street or a former retail unit.
